I am Johan Bekker, a Business consultant and Business, Life and Performance coach with more than 20 years' experience.  I am happily married (33 years) and the proud father of two professional and successful adult children. I am dedicated to assist all those who dream about “there must be more”. 

I lead people to take the leap towards a more fulfilling life and/or business with less uncertainty and struggle.  By putting down some of the unnecessary burdens we are carrying, taking charge of our daily lives and strategising to embrace what is truly destined to be ours, we can have a satisfying, successful life and/or business.

My Journey 
I entered life in Oudtshoorn, a town in the semi-desert Karoo area of South Africa. I grew up in the South African rural areas of the Eastern Cape, KZN and Namaqualand. At school I enjoyed short distance athletics and rugby. I completed the last 2 years of high school in Pretoria, the capital of South Africa.

After school I completed honours studies in Psychology and Criminology at the University of Pretoria and UNISA. I  completed Military service and then started working at the Department of foreign affairs of South Africa. I met my wife and got married in 1989. Immediately after our honeymoon, we were transferred to the Embassy in Windhoek. I served as First Secretary at our Embassies in Namibia and Singapore and then became Head: Admin and Management training at the Foreign Service Institute in Pretoria.

At the end of 1997, I left the government service and started working as a Business and HR Development consultant, the job I still enjoy more than 23 years later! I soon realised that I needed more knowledge / background on business and coaching to provide excellent service to my clients and therefore completed an MBA as well as several human development courses and coaching certifications.

I enjoy relaxing with a glass of red wine or beer at a campfire in the Bushveld or Karoo during winter and in the summer I love the beaches of the  Knysna-George area - especially Buffalo Bay where I spent most of my childhood summer-holidays. A holiday can never be perfect without braai (barbeque) and potjiekos (stew in an iron pot on an open fire) and close family and friends.
